Breaking News: Lori Vallow Daybell Fights for Life as She Seeks to Dismiss Death Penalty

Rexburg, ID – Lori Vallow Daybell, the mother of two children found dead on her husband’s property in Idaho, has filed a motion to dismiss the death penalty in her case. Daybell is facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree murder, and grand theft in connection with the deaths of her children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow.

Daybell’s attorneys argue that the death penalty is unconstitutional and that the state of Idaho’s death penalty statute is flawed. They also claim that the prosecution has not provided enough evidence to support the charges against Daybell.

The motion to dismiss the death penalty comes after Daybell’s husband, Chad Daybell, was also charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of Tylee and JJ. Chad Daybell is also facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and grand theft.

The couple’s case has garnered national attention due to their involvement in a doomsday cult and the mysterious circumstances surrounding the deaths of Tylee and JJ. The children were reported missing in September 2019, and their bodies were found on Chad Daybell’s property in June 2020.

The prosecution has not yet responded to Daybell’s motion to dismiss the death penalty. A hearing on the matter is scheduled for May 24.

If convicted, Daybell could face life in prison or the death penalty. Chad Daybell is also facing the possibility of the death penalty if convicted. – Wasatch Defense Lawyers does not represent any parties mentioned above.
